Horses have played a vital part in my life. My first horse, Lobo, was given to me at the age of 16 and began my journey of discovering peace and joy when I was with her. As I grew, my passion for horses also grew and I knew that horses would always be a part of my life. As I began the hard work of processing trauma in my life, I realized how being around the horses was a catalyst to my healing journey.
Years later I was leading a child on a horse down the driveway, and I sensed God speaking to me. He impressed on me that he wanted me to reach people and help others by utilizing the horses. Living Life Ranch became a clear vision in 2006 and God would continue to show me a little at a time the next steps to take. The Ranch is designed to be a safe place, full of God’s love and I have found my purpose in life. The best part for me is seeing the good that has come from sharing the horses with people who need some joy, peace, and healing in their lives.

Living Life Ranch started out as a safe place for me and my son to heal. We volunteered our time just so we could spend a moment with the horses. I was in awe as I watched my son, who had many medical issues, gain confidence as he learned to care for and eventually train these majestic creatures. I recognized, through my time on The Ranch, that God was teaching me powerful lessons about who Jesus created me to be and who God is.
I decided I needed to get the training necessary so that I could share what I had been given. I became a certified life coach and faith-based learning facilitator. I founded Hope in the Middle of which is my life coaching program designed to help you grow in hope, experience joy and discover freedom. I love showing up for these sessions as I watch Jesus bring His healing power and hope-giving love time and time again to people.

I have been involved in kids’ ministry for many years at my local church and love modeling and pouring into kids and teaching them the truth of WHO they are because of WHOSE they are. I fell in love with Living Life Ranch as I saw their love and need to do just this.
I get the joy of creating and coordinating activities, learning experiences, and facilitating opportunities for individuals to grow in confidence, wisdom, and truth. Some of my greatest blessings are watching lies these dear ones have believed being replaced with truth! To watch the Holy Spirit, bring freedom and peace where there was doubt and fear is beautiful. Did I mention I love coffee? I would love to share a cup and see where the Lord leads us.

My heart is for people to walk in FREEDOM! Living Life Ranch has been a part of my life for six years now. My daughter started out here through a Bible study that included horses. Through meeting Melissa, she was able to bring her horse close to home and board him at The Ranch.
Recently through sponsorship, I was able to go through the Faith Based Equine Applied Philosophy Certification. Along with this I specialize in healing and deliverance with six years of experience. I believe that Equine Applied Learning is a great doorway to deeper healing and I love seeing what this does in the lives of others.

Horses are amazing animals to help in the healing process. I first got involved with The Ranch back in 2014 as I was coming to simply help with chores. I would scoop pens and feed and groom the horses. I was actually scared of horses and had very little horse knowledge or experience. The more time I spent out at The Ranch and around the horses the more I loved it. Over the years I became more confident and eventually began to ride the horses. I knew that my time with the horses was always renewing and peaceful and brought me joy that I wanted to be able to share with others.
By partnering with the Holy Spirit and horses I have seen God do big things in my life by bringing emotional healing to wounds that I have. I love having the opportunity to see people have breakthroughs, find peace, and hear truth. The best part is you don't have to have a lot of horse knowledge or experience. You can start out just like me, even if you are afraid of the horses!
I am a new member of the Living Life Ranch family but have known about the mission since its inception. I remember when Melissa first received God’s calling to start a mission where she could serve Him through her horses. It is exciting to watch this journey of incorporating the Holy Spirit in their work and the impact these lovely creatures have with those who are looking for peace and comfort.
My role at the Ranch is just beginning. I am volunteering so these lovely ranchers can show God’s love to people they come in contact with through this mission. I am continuing to pray for guidance on my next steps on using the compassion the Lord has given me for animals into this mission specifically with dogs. I am excited to see what God has in store.
