Let Freedom Reign is an eight-week, faith-based equine-assisted recovery group for men and women ages 18 and older. Through professional counseling, trauma-informed support and meaningful ground-based experiences with horses, participants will explore triggers and cravings, emotional and nervous-system regulation, healthy boundaries, shame and resilience, identity, connection and building a meaningful life in recovery.
The group will be led by Traci, a licensed clinical therapist with more than 20 years of experience in addiction and mental health treatment, alongside Jayne, a trauma-informed, somatic and IFS-informed equine-assisted learning facilitator with four years of experience partnering with horses to support people in addiction recovery.
No riding or previous horse experience is needed.
Group dates: Tuesdays, October 13, 20 and 27; November 3, 10, 17 and 24; and December 1
Time: 4:00–5:30 p.m.
Location: Living Life Ranch in Gardner, Kansas
Registration deadline: October 6
Because each week builds upon the one before it, participants should plan to attend all eight sessions.
Insurance will be billed when coverage is available. If someone does not have insurance or insurance will not cover the group, participation is available on a donation-only, pay-what-you-can basis.
